Sales Director CZ/SK Farm Technology

For our client, an international manufacturer of milking and feeding robots, we are searching for candidates with strong management skills and agriculture background.
Role:
- Coordinate and drive Farm Technology Czech Cluster sales and service activities, allocate resources and prioritize initiatives
- Engage and champion the values, leadership signature and objectives of the organization.
- Align sales strategy and plans, decision boundaries, with the Farm Technology Division and Country organization to achieve sales growth, expand market reach and coverage.
- Drive, motivate and develop the Sales team – people, capacity & capability, future leaders.
- Represent Farm Technology Sales interests and align Divisional and Reporting Units requirements across all company´s functions (BU Heads, other Divisional Representatives, Supply Chain, QSHE, IT, HR, Legal, Finance and Excellence)
- Establish and maintain effective links with dealers, major customers, local institutions, decision-makers and other stakeholders, to exchange information and views, and to ensure the company is providing the appropriate range and quality of services.
- Support and develop company´s dealer network (CZ + SK)
- Determine and implement the go-to-market strategy, define sales channels according to country requirements and resource availability
- Develop, set targets, align Divisional Representative and Country MD, drive, follow up and report progress on:
- (1) Multi-year sales plan for the division in the country/geographical cover,
- (2) 3-year midterm planning (MTP) across divisional (origin) and country (destination) targets,
- (3) Annual sales & business delivery plans (incl. but not limited to financial targets, pipeline and resources).
- Direct and control the work and resources and ensure the organizational structure, tools, systems, functional departments, recruitment and retention of numbers and types of staff are suitable and in line with its mission and objectives.
- Represent the company in negotiations with dealers, customers, suppliers, government departments and other key contacts to secure for it the most effective business terms.
- Define pricing and discount policies and specific project related conditions, with responsibility on project profitability
- Support product development projects and contribute to define priorities with a product management role
Financial Accountability:
- Accountable for setting & delivering Sales budgets – including but not limited to – order intake, sales, gross margin, CoS Sales, EBIT and ROCE; and for timely forecasting, reporting of deviations and execution of corrective actions.
- Support the Finance group in maintaining healthy balance sheet and cash flow, and reporting risks.
- Support the Divisional Rep with in-flight reviews and adjusting of targets to support company’s results.
Compliance, Governance & QSHE:
- Maintain and direct the implementation of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all business conduct, data protection, equal opportunities, sustainability, QHSE and any other applicable local and statutory regulations.
- Ensure compliance and approval processes follow company´s policies and guidelines, including but not limited to business compliance, project management, procurement and supply chain, QSHE and Business Excellence.
- Ensure accuracy and timely update of information on CRM, E-approval, and other business platforms, where applicable.
- Support wider strategic and corporate initiatives as required (including across other company´s functions and business).
Required:
- Agriculture background/ Mechanical Engineering and/or Business-related qualification (Master’s degree) is required and should be backed by significant work experience
- Further education, registration with a relevant regulatory body and commitment to relevant continued development are considered important.
- Min. 5 years’ experience in functions at in either sales, engineering, equipment or food & beverage manufacturing incl. 2 years in a leadership role
- Sales professional with experience in steering a sales organization
- Experience in matrix organizations, especially influencing and leading without direct authority
- Experience in international negotiation & contracting
- Experience with corporate finance and performance management principles
- Experience in budgeting & planning
- Experience in change management
- Experience with innovation and commercializing product to market
- Local language - Czech/Slovak (proficient), fluent in English (verbal and written)
- Deep agriculture business and sales processes knowhow and end-to-end process expertise.
- Strong customer orientation - Ability to engage with customers at different level
- Open minded to new models, ideas and innovation (change champion)
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Comfortable in working with multiple companies, locations and cultures.
- Comfortable in making presentations and speaking in public
- Leadership skills, entrepreneurial competencies
