Senior Global Purchasing Specialist - production

Our partner, an international production company is now searching for Senior Global Purchasing Specialist. The role is new and was opened due to a new purchasing strategy.

Responsibilities:

· Design, negotiation, and implementation of a global procurement strategy

· Systematic market analysis, timely identification of trends and business areas

· Organizing procurement activities within product groups to achieve a positive contribution to revenues (Total Cost of Ownership)

· Managing product projects from idea to market launch, including planning and coordination with internal departments and suppliers

· Designing product specifications with regard to legislative requirements

· Further development and creation of a supplier base in line with company strategy

· Active participation in supplier qualification and development in cooperation with internal departments, including participation in supplier audits

· Conducting comparative tests of serial parts, new technologies, and new markets

· Identifying and realizing cost-saving potential, leading price negotiations up to the conclusion of supplier contracts

· Monitoring material price developments and analyzing make-or-buy decisions

· Close cooperation with operational purchasing and support of international subsidiaries

Requirements:

· Technical or economic education

· Experience in procurement (focus: consumer goods, automotive industry, or serial production), good market knowledge

· Excellent communication and negotiation skills

· Experience with contractual matters

· Project management

· Analytical thinking

· Very good knowledge of English, German is an advantage

· Knowledge of SAP is welcome

· Willingness to travel abroad
